He went on to star alongside John Travolta and Michelle Pfeiffer in 2007's ‘Hairspray’ and continued his musical streak with ‘The Greatest Showman’.

However, he refused to ‘Stick to the Status Quo’ when he played serial killer Ted Bundy in the 2019 film ‘Extremely Wicked, Shocking and Vile’.
