Dove Cameron landed the role of high school twins in Disney Channel series 'Liv and Maddie' when she was only 16 years old.

Cameron continued to be a major star on the Disney Channel landing the role of Mal in the 'Descendants' franchise.

In 2016, Cameron starred in the NBC live television musical 'Hairspray Live!' and between 2018 and 2019, Dove played Cher Horowitz in an off-Broadway production of 1995 film 'Clueless'.

In 2019, she debuted in a leading role in the ‘Light in the Piazza’ stage musical in London.

Dove has previously thanked Disney alumni Selena Gomez for supporting her during her Disney journey.

She told Buzzfeed: "Selena was really kind. She had me over to her house. I had never even done anything, I wasn't doing interviews or anything. We sat at her kitchen table for hours, I think she offered to make me toast ... She gave me some advice on what not to do, and definitely things to do."
