Gladiators star pitches 'battle of the Carrs' between Jimmy and Alan
Alan Carr and Jimmy Carr could come face to face on the hit BBC show.
Harry Aikines-Aryeetey wants Alan Carr and Jimmy Carr to battle it out on Gladiators.
The 38-year-old star, who rose to fame as Nitro on the beloved BBC show, has revealed his ideal pitch for a future celebrity edition.
He told the UK's Closer magazine: "I'd love to see Angryginge in the arena because I feel like he'd have a good go.
"Alan Carr would be a right laugh. Alan running the Gauntlet would be absolutely hilarious. Or Alan Carr and Jimmy Carr in a battle of the Carrs!"
Harry has used his Gladiators success to expand, appearing on shows like Celebrity Gogglebox, Celebrity MasterChef and Strictly Come Dancing.
Now, he's eyeing up another iconic reality TV staple in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, while he could even follow in Alan Carr's footsteps.
He said: "The jungle's always been something that I thought would be fun. And I love the Traitors."
Meanwhile, his Gladiators role is still a dream come true.
He gushed: "I was obsessed with the show when it came out in 1992. Gladiators was the first real thing that I was like, 'Wow'. They were superhoes and I could envisage myself being one.
"Often when I'm on the show, the mindset I have is that I'm performing to my eight year old self."
Harry also admitted there is another inspiration behind his love for the show, and even his marriage to wife Lauren in 2019.
He teased: "Maybe Jet might have had something to do with it too! It's no coincidence that I'm married to a tanned brunnete."
Meanwhile, Harry previously revealed his wife Lauren is the TV hunk's biggest cheerleader.
Harry told Closer in 2025: "[Lauren's] in awe of the majority of things I do. My journey as an athlete and person has been interesting. From track to Gladiators to this, even MasterChef, so many things I've been able to apply myself to.
"For her, my dancing is good, but she's not surprised because she thinks I can do anything."
And he revealed their daughter Aubree-Isla, six, is his biggest critic, which was especially true during his Strictly run.
He added: "It's my daughter that critiques me!
"She's like, 'No, you don't do it like that, Daddy, we don't do that move, we do this.'
"I showed her a video of [Karen Hauer and I] dancing yesterday. She watched it for 10 seconds and said, 'Boring.' She just wants me to do K-pop!"
