June Allyson

‘Battle Circus’ actress June Allyson (1917-2006), served as a spokesperson for the brand Depends, a company that specialized in adult diapers. While June never revealed if she was facing incontinence herself, she did speak about her efforts on normalizing the incontinence conversation.

In a 1998 interview with The Washington Post, she said: "Kids on the street say, ’Hey, Mom, there goes the Depends lady.' At first it embarrassed me, but I'm so proud to be part of something that helps so many people.”
