‘Singin’ in the Rain’ actress Debbie Reynolds (1932-2016) was honest about her overactive bladder issues in a bid to raise awareness and rid women of stigma.

Speaking to the San Diego Union Tribune back in 2003, the late actress: "First of all, I’m not embarrassed to talk about this, as I suffered with these symptoms for years. So, this visit is a kick-off. This morning I talked to about 750 people at Scottish Rite Cathedral about overactive bladders. ‘How many of you suffer from this?’ I asked. I heard some grumbling. I told them this was about an alternative to this kind of suffering. The reason for this crusade about overactive bladders is that both my parents had this. It was before the drugs, which came along only five years ago. My dad and mother had no access to these Pfizer pills. It was very embarrassing to my father.”
