Ruth Negga hails 'maverick' co-star Chase Infiniti
Ruth Negga has lavished praise on Chase Infiniti, her Presumed Innocent co-star.
Ruth Negga thinks Chase Infiniti has "a maverick air about her".
The 44-year-old actress and Chase, 26, previously worked together on Presumed Innocent, the legal thriller anthology series, and Ruth has heaped praise on her former co-star.
Negga told TIME: "Chase Infiniti radiates.
"Her integrity and life force infuse everything she does, from the Oscar-winning One Battle After Another to her starring turn this year in The Testaments. Sovereign and sincere, vital and vibrant, her triumphant ascent over the three years we’ve known one another has been a total joy to witness."
Negga admitted to being wowed by Chase's work ethic and her levels of preparedness.
The actress shared: "What astonished me when we worked together was her appetite for the work: she absolutely dug being on set and being part of the whole magical village it takes to make something. That enthusiasm is no joke; her joie de vivre is the real deal. She’ll put the fizz in your drink and a swing in your step.
"Her level of preparedness is parallel to the passion—she never missed a beat."
Negga also hailed Chase as a "maverick".
The actress said: "With her clear sense of purpose and self-belief, Chase illuminates our own generative and creative capacities, inspiring and delighting in equal measure.
"She has a maverick air about her, one of those striking people who seem to be emissaries from the future, encouraging us to shift our gaze a little higher. I look forward to her smashing all and any boxes unworthy of her to smithereens."
Chase starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in One Battle After Another, the 2025 action-thriller film, and the actress previously praised her co-star.
She told People: "I’m so grateful for the entire experience."
Chase is a long-time fan of her co-star, but she only watched Titanic, perhaps DiCaprio's most famous film, for the first time in 2025.
She confessed: "Do you know what's crazy? Is I didn't watch Titanic until last year. I had not seen it. My Leo film was Catch Me If You Can.
"I watched that when I was younger. Great film. I love that film so much. So that's the Leo film for me."
