Kerry Washington and Jennifer Garner are 'twin spirits'
Ben Affleck has heaped praise on Kerry Washington, the star of Animals.
Ben Affleck sees strong similarities between Kerry Washington and his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
The 54-year-old filmmaker has revealed that Kerry - who stars in Animals, Ben's new crime thriller film - and Jennifer both love baking for the cast and crew on their projects.
During an appearance on the Street You Grew Up On podcast, Ben told Kerry: "You and Jen Garner, by the way — talk about twin spirits. You’re the two ... the only people I know who regularly bake for the crew.
"It’s like this is the category of people who make you feel like an a******* no matter how hard you try. Because Kerry and Jen are always doing you one step better with everybody else."
Ben admitted that the cast and crew loved Kerry's baked treats.
The actor - who stars in and directed the new movie - said: "I’m like, yeah, I’m gonna get something, like a wrapped gift for the [crew], and they’re like, ‘So did you get Kerry’s donuts today? Tomorrow she’s doing Halloween muffins'.
Kerry replied: "Yeah, we did Halloween Dunkin’ muffins to honour your relationships. I was trying to share the light."
Meanwhile, Ben has defended his decision to use AI in Animals, insisting it's just "another form of computing".
The actor admitted that he used artificial intelligence "for lots of things" while making the new film.
He told Bloomberg: "I used [AI] for lots of things in that movie. I’m a little bit hesitant to point out what they are - or even talk about it - because in my business, we’re trying to foster the illusion of reality, right?
"It’s sort of like if you went to a magic show and the magician walked out and said: 'Just before I start, I want you to know there’s another bunny under here. (And] this guy’s a plant.'
"You know, it’s sort of ruined, right? But yes, we did use it, and in fact, I thought it was a good example [of how to use AI ethically] because it’s a very human movie."
