Bonnie Tyler's final song will be released on 13 November.

The Total Eclipse of the Heart hitmaker - whose real name was Gaynor Hopkins - passed away on 8 July, but next week will see the release of Love, Light and Peace, her last studio recording, with her widower, Robert Sullivan, knowing she would have wanted her fans to hear the festive track.

Robert said in a statement: “It’s been a heartbreaking year, and I miss her every single day.

“Gaynor never stopped working. She loved singing, she loved her fans, and she poured her whole heart into these songs.

"The only time she ever had off was during COVID, and even then she was still on Zoom doing interviews all the time. Between live shows she would stop by David Mackay’s studio to work on all these new songs.

"I know she would want people to hear them, and I am so proud of everything she left behind.”

Love, Light and Peace was written by Chrissie Hammond and Terry Britten, the latter of whom also produced the track with David Mackay.

Bonnie passed away at the age of 75, weeks after she was placed into an induced coma following emergency intestinal surgery in Portugal.

A message posted on Bonnie's website at the time read: "Bonnie's family and team are heartbroken to announce that Bonnie unexpectedly passed away last night in hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness that she was being treated for.

"We will issue a further statement shortly but for now ask for privacy to deal with this tragedy."

A number of stars paid tribute following her death, including Sir Cliff Richard, who remembered her as a "wonderful friend".

Cliff, 85, shared a photo of himself and Bonnie on Facebook and wrote: “Another wonderful friend gone too soon. Bonnie’s infectious zest for life entertained so many around the world, and to be a good friend to all, including me.

“It is shocking news to wake up to you this morning and I send my love to her family at this very sad time. RIP Bonnie…. Cliff”.

Fellow musician Bryan Adams paid tribute to Bonnie and her musical talent, in particular her version of Straight From The Heart, a song he also recorded.

He wrote on X: “Dear Bonnie Tyler passed today, she had such a great voice and I’ll always be grateful of her beautiful version of Straight From The Heart. Thanks Bonnie. RIP”.

Singer Rick Parfitt Jr will never forget the memories he shared with the Holding Out for a Hero hitmaker.

He wrote on Instagram: "So incredibly sad, but will remember our great chats, your wicked sense of humour, your kindness, incredible talent and all the fun gigs we did together! Rest in peace bright eyes."

Mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins has been left "heartbroken" by the news.

She wrote on Instagram: "Heartbroken to hear of the passing of the incredible Bonnie Tyler.

"A true Welsh legend whose unmistakable voice inspired generations and put Wales on the world stage with such power, passion and authenticity.

"Growing up in the same part of the world as Bonnie, makes this loss feel especially close to home. She showed so many of us what was possible so today, we’re all holding out for a hero… and saying goodbye to one of our very own.

"Rest peacefully, Bonnie. Your music, your spirit and your legacy will live on forever."
