John Cena will make a special announcement when he returns to WWE Raw for the first time since retiring from wrestling.

The 49-year-old former champion will appear at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday (02.11.26), ahead of WWE's Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce confirmed the appearance on Sunday (01.11.26), describing Cena's planned announcement as "very special".

The 17-time world champion is expected to reveal further details about the John Cena Classic, a competition he first announced at WWE Backlash in May.

The event will bring together wrestlers from WWE's main roster and NXT, with fans helping to decide the winner through a voting system.

Cena previously suggested the competition would take place in December, although WWE has yet to confirm its date or venue.

He teased the upcoming announcement last week, declaring: "The wait is over, the speculation ends 11/2."

The former wrestler retired from in-ring competition in December 2025 after losing his farewell match to Gunther at Saturday Night's Main Event.

He has since remained involved with WWE as an ambassador, including hosting WrestleMania 42 earlier this year.

Monday's programme will also feature Roman Reigns, who is scheduled to address Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn before their championship showdown at Crown Jewel on Saturday (07.11.26).

Meanwhile, Chad Gable will defend his Intercontinental Championship against Ethan Page, while Solo Sikoa faces Royce Keys.

Penta, Je'Von Evans and Dragon Lee will also join forces against The Vision in a six-man tag team match.

Raw will begin at the earlier time of 6pm Eastern on Netflix, with WWE recording Friday's SmackDown immediately afterwards.
