Jelly Roll's teenage daughter has thanked fans for their support after the musician filed for a divorce.

The 41-year-old singer filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo in May, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation, but Bailee Ann has now thanked fans for their recent show of support.

Bailee Ann, 18 - who is Jelly Roll's daughter from a previous relationship - wrote: "I can say on a more positive note - thank you to everyone who is showing me so much love and kindness through everything. At the end of the day, no matter what, we are all humans with feelings and that is worth of compassion.

"Thank you for the kind messages, the words of support, and those of you who go out of your way to make me feel protected and seen. I love y’all. I will never forget those of you that have shown me empathy when I’m seeing a lot of hate. Thank you So much. And to everyone else, I hope humanity can evolve to a place where kindness comes first.

"I understand and respect opinions and that a public profile is a public profile, but that doesn’t have to mean we throw away our human decency. I love ALL of you. (sic)"

Meanwhile, Bunnie previously opened up about the ups and downs of the couple's marriage, noting that it is important to love someone even when they are "at their lowest" because "everybody deserves a second chance".

Speaking to People earlier this year, the star - whose real name is Alisa DeFord - explained: "When you are with somebody for a long time, you are going to have to love them at their lowest. And I truly believe that true love is not about so much as accepting things that you shouldn’t, but I do think that everybody deserves a second chance.

"Loving somebody at their lowest is one of the most beautiful things you can do, especially if they bloom and they blossom like my husband has."
