Keanu Reeves makes rare comment about 'easy love' with Alexandra Grant
Keanu Reeves has admitted his partner Alexandra Grant is easy to love.
Keanu Reeves thinks Alexandra Grant is easy to love.
The John Wick actor has been in a relationship with the 53-year-old visual artist since 2019 and the couple are very happy together.
Speaking at the 2026 MOCA Gala at the Museum of Cntemporary Art (MOCA) in Los Angeles, Keanu was asked if Alexandra is "an easy woman to love" and he enthusiastically replied: "Yes!"
Alexandra reflected on how her relationship with Keanu, 61, has changed her art and admitted there is a happier tone to her work these days.
She said: “That's a big question.
“I would say that all painting is autobiographical, even though maybe even in abstraction it doesn't look like there's a big narrative, but I would definitely say that my paintings become happier.
“It's undeniable. I have to admit that.”
However, the Good Fortune actor wasn't as convinced by Alexandra's influence on his own work.
He said: “I don't know if it has.”
The couple's joint appearance at the gala came after Alexandra recently praised her "appreciative" and supportive partner.
She told People: “He's always so appreciative, so he's always cautious, I think, with feedback, and I would say the same.
“You want to always be respectful and leave the other person to bake their cake. Just talking about my love makes me sweat.
“I would say that there is all the listening in the world that we know that we could talk about any problem or challenge or creative idea and talk about it forever if that is needed, and also respect the individual need to dive deep and have a process that's maybe quiet or in another collaboration.
"So I'd say the key to it is the mutual respect and also just like, come on, it's play, right? It's play that we get to play creatively.”
Alexandra went on to say that another reason their relationship works so well is because they share the same belief in their respective projects.
She mused: “Every project has its own autonomy, its own team, it has its own sort of rules, and it has a beginning, middle and end.”
Referring to Keanu’s movies John Wick and The Matrix, she added: “So we both are people who do projects, and you know, I've lived with John Wick, I've lived with Neo."
Like Keanu’s career, Alexandra’s choice of work is equally consuming.
However, it’s this shared experience that has helped bring them even closer together.
She explained: “When he's in a character, for example, I have so much respect for that understanding that this is the middle to the end of a project, right?
“And I think the same goes for painting. When I'm in painter mode, I am in it. I'm fully in it, and it's not playing a character, but it is performing, you know, painting really is a form of performance too."
