Spencer Matthews says his and Vogue Williams' relationship "feels a bit fractured" since the arrival of their fourth child.

The couple, who are parents to sons Theodore, eight, Otto, four, and daughter Gigi, six, welcomed newborn boy Remy earlier this month, and Spencer, 38, said he and the 40-year-old media personality "feel a bit lonely" as he is sleeping in the spare room, and they have little time together.

Opening up about navigating life as a family of four on his pal and fellow Made in Chelsea alum Jamie Laing's Newly Parents podcast, Spencer said: "I'm not complaining, but we are in that lovely bubble with three other young kids in a rental house because we're building, so to be honest the bubble feels a bit disturbed.

"There's a lot going on in our house."

He added: "Vogue and I both, in our own ways feel a bit lonely at the moment.

"We have four kids, so there needs to be a system in place for us both to be out of action, for us to have big broken sleep is unhelpful to the rest of the family flow.

"So right now, the system is Vogue and baby sleep in a big room, double bed on their own, and Vogue manages the night feed and does that just her and the child.

"I sleep in the spare room, at the moment, with both boys because Otto comes in in the middle of the night screaming because he's on his own."

The TV personality continued: "We don't sleep next to each other. I'm out. I'm working. Vogue's more at home at the moment. I come home in the evening, and we might have an hour together.

"We'll eat something and maybe put something on TV, but she's tired and so am I. So, she goes to bed separately to me.

"I don't really like sleeping separately to her. We like being next to each other. Even if you're not communicating, you're together.

"At the moment it feels a bit fractured. It sort of feels like you've fallen out because you're staying in the spare room."

Jamie, 37, could relate as he and his wife Sophie Habboo, 31, struggled with each other "just parenting" and "not even being a couple" when they welcomed their first child, son Ziggy, into the world last year.

Spencer said: "That's a very real thought that I have quite a lot of the time. Eight years ago, we had no kids, now we have four kids.

"So your life, whether you like it or not, is all about the kids.

"Vogue does the absolute lionshare of managing the kids and their schedules, and their clothes, and them growing. Thank God because I'd just be so useless at that."

He added: "Any freedom that you enjoy as a, dare I say it, a successful couple that should be able to just do stuff, you kind of can't."

Jamie noted that when he and Sophie enjoy a date night, he is constantly thinking about Ziggy, but Spencer insisted he "can spend time away from the kids to be honest".

Spencer went on: "Look I love my kids. In the same breath, I can easily spend time away from my kids. And I think that's normal, isn't it?"

He then compared modern fatherhood with his own upbringing, noting that his dad David was not present enough due to work.

Spencer said: "I was a kid, I don't remember my dad, right? And that's not a dig at my dad. My dad would just be working at the office all day. He'd be gone when I woke up, and he'd come home after I went to sleep.

"And I'd see him from time to time, and I loved my dad, and we have an amazing relationship, but he probably never once fed me a bottle, never cooked for me, never changed me, never did anything that modern day fathers do and enjoy doing with their with their wives and partners.

"But I think in many ways, the roles were probably more defined, whether it be right or wrong back then, right?

"Whereas now, I think there's a lot of juggling because my wife is super successful, very professional, works full-time as well, which is great because it gives us twice as much to consider when making important decisions about the rest of our life."

Spencer added that Vogue has got "the hardest job", as Remy is with her "the entire time", and he admitted he would "really struggle with having the baby on me all the time, having to feed the baby every few hours, having to change the baby".

The star, who likes to hold Remy and take him out for walks, also noted that his job is "to be up before 7 O'Clock, down in the kitchen, I do breakfast for the three kids" and has help from their nanny with "managing the three kids in the morning".
