Olivia Jade will 'never' speak about her dating life, but why?
Olivia Jade has decided to remain tight-lipped about her love life.
Olivia Jade will "never" speak publicly about her love life.
The 26-year-old star - who was in an on/off relationship with Jacob Elordi for years - has insisted that she wants to keep her love life private from now on.
The brunette beauty - who has millions of followers on Instagram and YouTube - told Bustle: "I will never speak on it, ever. That part of my life, I’m a completely closed book. I’m just going to be a mystery."
Olivia admits to being much more of an open book during her younger years. But after attending therapy, she's become a more private person.
The model said: "When I was younger, I wanted to say my piece a lot more. Now I don’t have that desire at all. I can vent to somebody in my private life about it. It’s just a feeling like ‘Oh, I don’t really want to share that. That doesn’t really benefit anyone. That doesn’t really benefit me.’"
Olivia believes she's developed a "thick skin" during her time in the spotlight.
She said: "There was a time where I wanted to completely shut off everything, fall in a hole, and never show my face again. I think it takes perseverance and, honestly, thick skin to keep going."
Olivia has also learned to roll with the punches of social media, rather than fight against the online narrative.
The model - who competed on Dancing with the Stars in 2021 - explained: "I’ve been really afraid to [speak out] just because if something comes across the wrong way or not as intended, it’s hard to tame the beast. So instead of trying to create or change a narrative, I’ve just let it happen."
Meanwhile, Olivia previously described her Dancing with the Stars experience as "scary".
She told Entertainment Weekly: "It's scary in general for anybody putting yourself out there and then already being in the public eye, and I feel like most people - besides, you know, my OG subscribers and fans that have watched my YouTube that I'm so grateful for - but I do feel like most people know me for a certain thing and a certain narrative, and I was just really excited that I had this chance to maybe show a different side and to hopefully switch it a little bit."
