Zedd feels 'heartbroken' over Liam Payne's death
Music producer Zedd has taken to social media to express his sorrow over Liam Payne's death.
Zedd "can't believe" Liam Payne has died.
The pop star passed away on Wednesday (10.16.24), aged 31, after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, and Zedd has already taken to social media to express his heartbreak.
The 35-year-old music producer - who worked with Liam on 'Get Low', their 2017 single - wrote on X: "RIP Liam… I can’t believe this is real… absolutely heartbreaking … [broken-heart emoji] (sic)"
Zedd subsequently stressed the need to be "kind, supportive and mindful".
The producer said: "Life is short and fragile… You never know what people are going through. We live in times where being rude, divisive and mean is normal; sometimes even celebrated. It doesn’t have to be this way. We should do our best to be kind, supportive and mindful. (sic)"
Liam enjoyed huge success in the music industry. However, he previously admitted that he struggled to cope with the pressures of fame.
The pop star also suggested that the industry failed to provide artists with the support they need.
Speaking to Men's Health magazine back in 2019, Liam explained: "There have been a lot of people in trouble with mental health that aren’t really getting the help that they need, and I think that’s a bit of a problem in our industry.
"It’s the same s*** that happens to everyone, that’s been happening since the ‘70s."
Despite this, Liam suggested that he'd managed to overcome his own issues.
He said: "You know what the traps are and if you are lucky enough, like me, to be able to get out of that scenario and back into a sense of normality, then you know it’s a bit different."
