King Charles 'mimics' Harry Potter cast 'brilliantly' when reading to grandchildren
King Charles is a huge Potterhead and loves reading the stories to his grandchildren.
King Charles "mimics" Harry Potter characters when he reads bedtime stories to his grandchildren.
The 75-year-old British monarch's wife, Queen Camilla, 76, has revealed the sovereign's secret talent for acting out the likes of Harry Potter and Albus Dumbledore.
Speaking on her new podcast, 'The Queen’s Reading Room', to writer Sir Ian Rankin, she said: “I can’t mimic voices for love or money.
“I’m completely hopeless at it but my husband, he does it brilliantly.”
Camilla previously opened up about Charles' love of reading bedtime stories to the youngsters.
He has five grandchildren, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, whose parents are Prince William, 41, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 42, and Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, who live in California with their parents Prince Harry, 39, and 42-year-old Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Camilla previously - who has five grandchildren of her own from her son Tom, 49, and daughter Laura, 46, whom she had with her first spouse Andrew Parker Bowles -said: "His grandchildren aren’t [too old], and he’s very good because he does all these voices for them. He loves Babar the Elephant. They are such lovely books, I think all ages love them, even grown-ups.
"I think we all do that [introduce grandchildren to the books he enjoyed as a child] don’t we? I can never read 'Black Beauty' to Eliza, my granddaughter, though, because she can’t cope with anything to do with an animal that is hurt."
