Angellica Bell has opened up about her money woes, revealing that she nearly lost her home.
Angellica Bell nearly lost her home amid a struggle to find TV work.
The 50-year-old presenter - who first found fame on CBBC in the early 2000s - has revealed that she came perilously close to losing her home after TV work dried up for her.
Appearing on HELLO! magazine’s Second Act podcast, Angellica shared: "There was a moment where I’ve nearly had to sell my house.
"I’ve been on my knees, but I’ve been on TV, and people wouldn’t know that."
Angellica now feels proud of herself for overcoming her money issues.
The TV star acknowledged that she's endured a tough time in recent years, but she's managed to survive those struggles.
Angellica - who is married to fellow TV presenter Michael Underwood - said: "You’re like, ‘Well, I have to pivot.’
"I think what women don’t give themselves enough credit for is that we are adapting at so many stages of our lives, and it’s incredible…
"So there’s been so many times where I’ve thought maybe the second act is here, or the third act or the fourth act … I’m proud of myself. We don’t say we’re proud of ourselves enough."
Angellica co-presented The Martin Lewis Money Show until 2023, when she left the programme in abrupt fashion.
However, she subsequently addressed the issue during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother, when she expressed appreciation for the people who supported her.
Angellica said at the time: "I’m so grateful to all the audience that messaged me about it and also to other celebrities who contacted me and stuff.
"It was those messages and support that got me through."
Angellica explained that she wanted to appear on Celebrity Big Brother because she wanted to "tap into [her] old self".
The broadcaster - who won the 2017 series of Celebrity MasterChef - said: "That’s why I wanted to come on the show to tap into my old self. It has taken a long, long time."
