Harry Hill and Richard Ayoade have teamed up on an "absurd dark comedy" about a "weird" child.

The 62-year-old comedian has released a trailer for his new short film The Jillon, which has been produced by Steve Coogan's company Baby Cow, and features Taskmaster star Richard as the on-screen narrator.

Teasing the project on Instagram, Harry said: "I wrote a full length film ‘The Jillon’ about a very old couple who conceive a child but it turns out kinda weird.

"Everyone looked at me like I was mad so Steve Coogan’s production company Baby Cow said let’s make a short taster to show them what i mean.

"This is the trailer for it. You can watch the short on my YouTube channel from Friday. See what I mean ?…? Please watch it.

"If we rack up enough of the Likes maybe we’ll get to make the long one !!! (sic)"

The Jillon also stars Flip Webster as the 86-year-old mother, and Richard Syms as her husband.

The short film will drop on Friday (30.10.26), while the YouTube trailer gives a hint of what's to come.

The description reads: "From the mind of Harry Hill, starring Richard Ayoade, Richard Syms and Flip Webster comes a gloriously absurd dark comedy about an 86-year-old woman whose desperate wish to become a mother is granted, with consequences nobody could have imagined."

While Harry is keeping busy, he has hinted that he isn't rushing to go back on Would I Lie To You after admitting he "didn't like" his past appearance.

Speaking on his own Harry Hill Show on YouTube, he said: "[It's] because Lee Mack doesn't stop talking. It's like, 'Give us a chance, Lee!' "

Guest Sara Pascoe replied: "I think this is what I would say to any new comic or anyone who's invited on that show - it's an audience with Lee Mack.

"You just have to reframe it [as] 'You're so lucky to be front row at a Lee Mack gig'. [laughs]

"And that's why I like doing it actually. The worst thing you can do is try and interrupt it."

Harry admitted it took him "about an hour" to realise not to interrupt the quick witted comic in mid flow during filming.

He added: "But he is brilliant, and obviously that's what people are watching [for]."

Sara laughed and said the studio audience "will rip you limb from limb if you do interrupt him".

Harry deadpanned that the audience is only there "to see him and the other two", referring to opposing captain David Mitchell and host Rob Brydon.

Sara pointed out: "And it's magic, the three of them, I think they work so well together."

Harry agreed, comparing the way they work on screen together to "a sitcom", adding: "There's a chemistry, you can't manufacture that."
