Delta Goodrem keen for Eurovision week on Strictly Come Dancing

Delta Goodrem wants there to be a Eurovision themed week on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Australian actress and singer is one of the celebrities hoping to take home the Glitterball Trophy at the end of the BBC talent show, which sees famous faces and dance pros perform a new routine weekly based around a certain theme.
Previous themes have included Movie Week and Icons Week, and Delta - who came fourth at the Eurovision Song Contest while representing Australia with her original tune Vienna - is keen to see the world-famous contest recognised with a themed week too.
She told Digital Spy: “I would highly support a Eurovision week. I am now a dedicated Eurovision fan myself, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
“As long as I get to fly out of a piano. Two of my greatest idols Olivia Newton-John and Celine Dion both did Eurovision, I would be happy to perform as them.
“Or even this year’s winner Dara, I would learn the routine for Bangaranga.”
Delta and her dance partner Kai Widdrington will be returning to the dancefloor on Saturday night, after being forced to miss last weekend’s episode due to a rib injury.
They’ll be performing a Rumba routine to the tune of Celine Dion’s It’s All Coming Back to Me Now, and Delta is more than a little excited about her dance floor comeback.
She said: “I feel so grateful for returning and I’m excited to be able to perform. Everyone has been giving me a lot of gentle hugs and its very welcoming."
When it comes to her plans post Strictly, Delta will be taking on a UK tour, which will include performing at the London Palladium in February 2027.
And she’s hoping that Kai will be available to join her on stage, as she said: “We need to do a dance where we're both singing on stage together, we’ll get him singing soon!”
