BBC Radio 1's Gemma Cairney gives birth to second child
BBC Radio 1 presenter Gemma Cairney and her partner, Cameron McAllister, have welcomed their second child into the world.
BBC Radio 1 star Gemma Cairney has given birth to her second child.
The 41-year-old presenter and her partner Cameron McAllister - who first became parents in August 2024 - welcomed the newest addition to their family last week.
Gemma posted a shot of herself smiling as she cuddled her newborn - whose identity has not been publicly revealed - and a funny picture of Cameron dressed in scrubs in the hospital on Instagram on Sunday (26.07.26).
The upload's caption read: "Had another baby this week with the most beautiful goober of a man that I ever was to meet after travelling the world to find him. LOVE YOU @cameronmac815 and this miracle family.
"*Posted from a sofa of in the haze of restful ecstasy and a multitude of painkillers* (sic)"
Some of Gemma's celebrity pals and fans showered the couple with congratulatory messages in the post's comments section.
Singer Paloma Faith, 45, penned: "Congrats to you all xxxx (sic)."
TV presenter Fearne Cotton, 44, typed: "Beautiful beautiful beautiful (sic)."
The One Show's Lauren Laverne, 48, wrote: "Welcome little one and congratulations sweetheart! Can’t wait to give you both a big squee3 xxxxx (sic)."
One of Gemma's supporters reacted: "Awww yay such lovely news!! Congrats to you all and big love xxx (sic)."
A second follower commented: "Just gorgeous, can’t wait to get a cuddle. Congratulations (sic)."
And a third fan said: "Congratulations! Welcome little One and well done Super Mama! (sic)."
In April, Gemma announced she was pregnant with her second child by posting a sweet shot of the blossoming bump to her Instagram account.
Gemma's photo showed her sunbathing with her blouse lifted to show off the bump, with the caption: "Together we sunbathe 'n dream (sic)."
In August 2024, Gemma took to Instagram to announce that she and Cameron had welcomed their first child into the world.
She shared a sweet photo of herself and Cameron cradling the baby - whose identity has never been revealed - and revealed their bundle of joy was born a fortnight ago.
Gemma captioned the upload: "TWO WEEKS of the best madness, blessings, bliss, breaths, prayers, tears + momentous delirium.
"I can't offer enough thanks to our friends / kin, midwives, soothsayers, staunch support! Never ever felt love like this.
We are a fresh fam of 3, yipeeeeeeeee (sic)."
Before Gemma hit the airwaves on BBC Radio 1, 4radio and Kiss FM, she was a fashion stylist.
