Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden have signed up for I'm A Celebrity... GetMe Out Of Here! spin-off series The Wild Frontier.

It was revealed last month that the beloved jungle reality series would be heading to Canada for another iteration, featuring a new format pairing celebrities together to tackle trials and survive in the wilderness toegther, and it has now been reported that the Boyzlife duo are the first pair to sign up.

A source told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “Bosses are delighted that Keith and Brian will be taking part, they’ll each bring a lot of fun and mischief to the camp.

“Everyone’s really excited about this new format, the pairs element will get everyone talking.

“The casting team are hopeful they can cast celebrity duos, but may also include some stars and their non-famous family members or partners.

“Viewers will see the pairings undertake gruelling trials in the beautiful and unknown Canadian landscape and take on action-packed challenges to win food, all aiming to become the sole victorious pair.”

It is believed Keith, 51, and 46-year-old Brian will land around £100,000 each for taking part in the show, which will be filmed in the Callaghan Valley of Whistler Olympic Park, an area where grizzly bears are known to roam.

Regular I'm A Celebrity... hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are expected to present the new show too, which will film in September but not air on TV until next year.

A source previously told The Sun newspaper: "This has all been very hush-hush, but everyone involved is really excited to get cracking with filming.

"The scenery will be stunning and the action explosive. Imagine the tension of two stars paired together, forced to eat, sleep, breathe and work together in constant near proximity.

"There will likely be fireworks and already some pretty big names are in the mix to appear."

The regular series, which is filmed in Australia, will go ahead as normal later this year.

It comes after it was revealed I'm A Celebrity ... South Africa is unlikely to return to TV for another three years after the series was marred by a massive bust-up between eventual winner Adam Thomas and former footballer Jimmy Bullard, who sensationally accused the actor of being "abusive, aggressive and intimidating" after flying into a rage when Jimmy quit a trial.

The drama in the all-star spin-off - which debuted in 2023 - continued during I'm A Celebrity ... South Africa live final with several stars storming off, and it was later revealed fans will have to wait several years for the next all stars installment.

A source told The Sun: "The aim was never for it [I'm A Celebrity ... South Africa] to be made or be on air in 2027, even though there may be an appetite for that right now.

"The aim was to deliver something as a special show that was on from time to time, not an annual revisit like the main I’m A Celebrity show."
