The football player-turned-pundit hopes the BBC Latin and Ballroom dance show's bosses will respect his wish when the new series starts in September.
Shaun told The Sun: "I’ve already said I can’t put any red on. And I just hope I don’t have to wear anything outrageous."
The ex-England star is not keen about sporting open shirts or getting glammed up either.
He said: "I’m not sure about sparkles – people ask me about the open shirts, and I’m telling them my belly is not right for that."
Shaun - whose dad is 62-year-old football legend-and-pundit Ian Wright - signed up for Strictly Come Dancing to learn a new skill.
He said: "I wanted to learn something new.
"I did a cooking show for a similar reason. Don’t get me wrong, I’m really nervous – it’s out of my comfort zone.
"I know the hard work the dancers put into it, but I’m excited for the journey and want to come out of it as a ballroom dancer."
Asked if he is feeling nervous, the former Manchester City star added: "We are going to find out."
Meanwhile, Shaun's Strictly Come Dancing co-star, Neighbours alum Delta Goodrem, 41, has appealed to the show's bosses for a dance partner that meets her needs.
In an interview with The Independent earlier this month, the Neighbours alum admitted that she would "love to be" dancing with someone taller than her because she "doesn’t really want to be the one that has to lift people".
Aljaz Skorjanec, 36, and Kai Widdrington, 30, are the only two professional dancers who are over six feet tall.
So far, Shaun and Delta will be joined on Strictly Come Dancing by EastEnders icon Lacey Turner, 38, Love Island alums Cach Mercer, 25, and 29-year-old Dani Dyer - who withdrew from the 2025 series due to an ankle injury - and 43-year-old celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.
Big Brother host Will Best, 41, Paralympian Dame Sarah Storey, 48, Babs actress Jaime Winstone, 41, House of the Dragon's Bethany Antonia, 28, dog trainer Graeme Hall, 60, Emmerdale actor Lawrence Robb, 34, Olympic skeleton gold medallist Tabby Stoecker, 25, and YouTube star John Nellis, 33, are also taking part.
The BBC will announce more contestants in due course.
