Bobby Norris denies death rumours after fans mistake him for man of same name
Bobby Norris reassured his followers that he is alive and well after some confused him with another man of the same name who had died.
Bobby Norris has been forced to deny he is dead.
The Only Way Is Essex alum was left puzzled after receiving a flood of messages from his worried fans over the last few days, but the 39-year-old reality TV star later learned the confusion came from people who mistook him for another Bobby Norris, who had passed away.
In a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday (16.06.26), he said: "There's been an influx in messages because there has been an announcement of my passing online over the last couple of days.
"Now, at first, I thought the internet was internetting, I wasn't sure if it was the good old trolls under the bridge doing what they do, didn't really respond to it.
"And then more and more came in, and for a split second in my head, I'm thinking, 'It can't be me because I'm eating an omelette, and I'm still very much here, d****** about.'"
Bobby continued: "Anyway, I've got to the bottom of it, I think that it is, obviously, a different Bobby Norris that has sadly passed - it's not me."
The TV personality thanked his supporters for the "well wishes and reaching out", and offered his condolences to the other Bobby's friends and family.
The Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star then reassured his followers that he is alive and well.
Bobby ended the video: "I didn't really know, it's not really a common name either, so a mad couple of days in the Twilight Zone where I'm sat there with my omelette thinking, 'Is this me?' But knowing it's not."
Fans reacted to the name confusion, as one penned: "Oh @bobbycnorris that's a frightening thing. I've not seen that. So sorry as you say for the other Bobby Norris and his family and friends.
"Glad you're alive and kicking hun and enjoying your omelette. Much love (sic)."
A second supporter typed: "A happy and sad moment. Condolences to the family of the deceased.
"Happy to see you in good spirits on this side rather than the other. Have a lovely day."
And a third follower wrote: "That omelette must have tasted divine after that Bob, condolences to the other family.
"And sending you a massive hug babe as always (sic)."
