Denise Richards confirms Real Housewives return
Denise Richards has confirmed her return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but she'll be a "friend of" the show, rather than a full-time cast member.
Denise Richards has confirmed her return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The 55-year-old actress was a main cast member in seasons nine and 10, following a previous guest stint in season five, and after returning as a guest for seasons 13 and 15, she will be making more appearances in the upcoming season 16 because she will be credited as a "friend of" the show.
She told Entertainment Tonight: "I'm doing some episodes for next season. I just went on a cast trip and that was fun and exciting."
Denise teased there will be a "lot of drama" in the episodes, but she had a good time filming.
She added: "It's actually, you know, it’s silly drama and it was really nice to see a lot of the women."
The Wild Things star admitted last month she was keen to return to the show.
Asked if she wanted to go back, she said on The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show: "Yeah! Actually, I did some episodes last season. But yeah, I would."
However, Denise admitted her initial run as a main cast member was difficult.
She said: "It was a hard thing. I felt like no one liked me, except for Garcelle [Beauvais]. And that's part of why I didn't come back for a third [season]."
The next season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will feature a number of new faces.
In August, Leah Remini took to Instagram to confirm recent reports that she will appear in the upcoming 16th season of the Bravo reality show, though it is unclear if she will be a full-time cast member or a "friend of".
The King of Queens star shared a headline from Variety's report on her joining the show, which was accompanied by a photo from a previous appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, and wrote: "It's true."
News of Leah's casting came a week after former Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles star Tracy Tutor announced she was joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills too.
Tracy commented on Leah's post: "Well I'm pumped! This is going to be [fire emoji]."
Friends of the cast Kathy Hilton and Jennifer Tilly also shared their excitement.
Kathy commented: "[Hands up emojis] can’t wait to meet you!!![heart emojis] (sic)"
Jennifer exclaimed: "Oh my gosh! Welcome! We are going to have so much fun!"
It seems Leah has been a target for producers for some time.
Executive producer Andy Cohen commented: "AT LONG LAST!!! [diamond and heart emojis] (sic)"
Leah and Tracy will be joining returning Housewives Kyle Richards, Erika 'Jayne' Girardi, Dorit Kemsley, Bozoma Saint John, Rachel Zoe and Sutton Stracke. Amanda Frances - who joined the cast for season 15 - will not be returning.
