Vanessa Feltz calls for Strictly Come Dancing presenting 'rejig' in 2027
Vanessa Feltz feels that Strictly Come Dancing should "rejig" its presenting line-up for next year as she doesn't think that the new trio of Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe have worked out.
Vanessa Feltz has called for a Strictly Come Dancing host "rejig" in 2027.
The 64-year-old broadcaster is a huge fan of the show (which she competed on back in 2013) but doesn't think that the decision to have three presenters – Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe – has been the right move and feels that bosses may have to rethink it for next year's series.
Speaking to TV personality Simon Gross on the red carpet at the London Lifestyle Awards, Vanessa said: "I love Strictly. I want it to be successful. I'm not sure that those three presenters have necessarily worked out. I think the show should carry on, but they have to rejig it a bit."
Meanwhile, Vanessa is also looking forward to the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and thinks that rumoured campmate Leigh Francis is a great addition to the line-up.
She said of the funnyman at the ceremony held at the Royal Lancaster London Hotel: "He's amazing. He'll be magnificent. He's so entertaining. He'll be great."
Vanessa is also excited to see how actress Claire Sweeney fares in the jungle and has backed the former Coronation Street to be "fabulous" on the ITV reality series.
She said of Claire: "She'll kill it. She'll be fabulous."
Meanwhile, Strictly judge Anton Du Beke recently insisted that Emma, Josh and Johannes replacing long-serving hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman "hasn't changed anything" about the show.
He told The Times newspaper: "Showbusiness people are used to change. It hasn't changed anything about the show.
"The only thing you have is great excitement about new people coming in and joining the family. It sounds a bit twee, but it is that.
"All the hosts do is say, 'Hello, welcome to the show', and, 'Here's who's coming next.' The bit we want is the dancing."
