Emily Atack and Alistair Garner's wedding day will be a " big, fat, f***-off party".

The actress is having a "big" dress, inspired by her 1980s-based drama, Rivals - adapted from the late Dame Jilly Cooper's raunchy 1988 novel of the same name - for her and the 40-year-old scientist's international nuptials in September.

Emily, 36, told Grazia: "We’re getting married abroad. It’s going to be a big, fat, f***-off party.

"Since filming Rivals, in terms of fashion, I tend to go quite big now generally."

The star - who plays Sarah Stratton in the Disney+ series - added: "Life is good. It doesn’t get much better than where I am now."

Earlier this month, Emily revealed she asked her Rivals "hubby" Rufus Jones, 51, who plays MP Paul Stratton, to give a reading at her and Alistair's wedding celebrations, which will run across "three days".

The Inbetweeners alum told HELLO! magazine: "It's going to be lovely. I've really enjoyed planning it. It's going to be three days of joy with all my favourite people - it's going to be chaos."

On May 6, Emily's mum, actress Kate Robbins, accidentally let slip when her daughter's big day is happening when she took to her Instagram Stories and shared a shot of 45-year-old media personality Kim Kardashian’s pointy boob Met Gala outfit.

Spitting Image alum Kate, 67, joked in her caption: "That's me sorted for my 'mother-of-the-bride' outfit later this year."

In 2025, The Sun reported that Emily and Alistair - who got engaged in July 2025 after three years of dating - eyed up Spain as a place for their wedding.

A source said: "Emily has been going to Spain with her family on holiday ever since she was a child and loves the idea of getting married there.

"She and Alistair adore the stunning countryside there, and guaranteed sun is a bonus. They love the idea of friends and family joining them."

Emily - who has a 23-month-old son named Barney with Alistair - said her love of Spain stems from her childhood.

She said: "I loved my family holidays there when I was growing up. We had a property there, and my dad sold it a couple of years ago, but it’s our favourite place, and we still go every year, and stay in a hotel."
