Joe Swash is keen to embrace the "fresh ideas" of his new management team.

The actor - who is best known for playing Mickey Miller in EastEnders - has left YMU to sign for Off Limits Group, and Joe is feeling excited about the next phase of his career.

Joe told Deadline: "Off Limits have already built something really impressive.

"It’s a young, ambitious and growing team who are bringing fresh ideas and a new perspective, and that spoke to me."

Rebekka Taylor, the talent director in the Off Limits Group's global entertainment unit, is also thrilled to be working with the former soap star.

She said: "Joe joining OLG is a very special moment for us."

Chris Drake, who founded the Off Limits Group back in 2017, is excited to work with Joe, too.

Drake said: "Over the past year we’ve been expanding our entertainment division, bringing together talent management, brand partnerships and legal expertise to support our talent in a forward-thinking, all-inclusive and innovative way. Joe has built a remarkable connection with audiences over many years and we’re excited to work with him."

Meanwhile, Joe previously confessed to being reckless with money during his younger years.

The actor suggested that he took his EastEnders fame for granted, and he eventually ran into financial problems.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I got into EastEnders and was irresponsible with money.

"I was chucking it away on stuff I didn’t need. I went out every night and had a house with a mortgage.

"When you are young you just don’t think it is ever going to end. I thought I was going to be on EastEnders for years and years."

Joe confessed to being immature in how he dealt with the issue.

He said: "I fell behind on tax and bills and buried my head in the sand which was the worst thing to do. I should have faced up to it.

"The second time it happened I was on TV and I felt embarrassed and wondered how I managed to get myself into the situation. But it can happen to anybody."
