Strictly Come Dancing's Nikita Kuzmin gives sweet family update with girlfriend
Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin and his girlfriend, Lauren Jaine, have revealed to fans an adorable family update.
Nikita Kuzmin and his girlfriend have become "proud" dog parents.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer and his 24-year-old girlfriend, model Lauren Jaine, announced they have welcomed an adorable long-haired Chihuahua called Mabel to their family, via Instagram on Wednesday (25.02.26).
Nikita, 28, and Lauren captioned the joint post - which included a shot of the smitten couple holding the pooch, as well as a joke sonogram of their new family member - with: "Our dream finally came true, and we’re proud parents of our little girl, Mabel."
However, the pair's cats, Leo and Bagheera, and their five kittens are not thrilled about a dog now roaming around their home.
Nikita and Lauren added: "The cats think we are crazy, but soon we will be one big family together.
"Welcome to the family Mabel."
Nikita's fellow Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers rushed to congratulate the couple in the post's comments section.
Carlos Gu, 33, who won the BBC Latin and Ballroom dance competition with former professional footballer Karen Carney, 38, in 2025, penned: "Loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! (sic)"
Gorka Marquez, 35, typed: "Cute"
And Jowita Przystal, 31, wrote: "Oh stop it!"
Nikita's fans also reacted to Mabel.
One person commented: "OMG she is the cutest ... welcome to the family Mabel, what a beautiful home you will have xx (sic)."
A second user said: "Ooh I love long haired Chihuahuas my favourite. Lucky you (sic)."
And a third supporter left: "Welcome Mabel! She’s a beauty. We have 3 chi’s. Fabulous little dogs (sic)."
In October 2023, it was revealed that Nikita and Lauren were in a relationship.
And last December, he revealed they are hoping to tie the knot one day.
Nikita told OK! magazine: "I'm hopeful that one day she'll say yes! We recently watched a video of a wedding in South Africa and were quite moved by it. So, why not?"
The star - who, with Lauren, shares a "penchant for adventures" when it comes to date nights - also shared the secret to their happy relationship.
Nikita said: "It's less about what we do and more about simply being together and respecting each other's space."
And Lauren and his family's support enables him to successfully balance work and his private life.
Nikita said: "I'm really lucky to have a supportive family and girlfriend. I always call my mum on my way home, and when I get back, I have Lauren waiting for me.
"We make time for each other. Last night, after a 12-hour rehearsal, we watched Iron Man. We're going through the entire Marvel series!"
