Alan Carr let slip his Celebrity Traitors victory within 12 hours of winning the show.

The TV star won the first series of The Celebrity Traitors and was ordered to keep the news secret until the last episode aired on the BBC in November, but Alan has now revealed he accidentally gave the game away within hours of filming the final.

During an appearance on Scott Mill's BBC Radio 2 show, Alan explained: "The cameraman goes: 'Congratulations' and I go: 'How did you know I won?' He said: 'I didn't'.

"So I told them within 12 hours that I had won The Traitors."

Alan went on to admit he tried to insist he was just joking, adding: "I went: 'Haha, got you!' I had to backtrack, because you can't tell anything But I did well, and I didn't want to spoil it."

In the interview, Alan admitted the show has given him a massive profile boost and he's now recognised in public more than ever - he couldn't even escape Traitors fans during a recent holiday in Mexico.

He explained: "I was on the way to the pool and I heard this woman from the balcony: 'I see you, traitor. Don't you hide your face from me. Who are you going to murder today?' ...

"People who don't know I was in The Traitors must think I'm a serial killer."

BBC bosses are said to be busy casting new stars for the next series of The Celebrity Traitors, which will reportedly be filmed this year ahead of an autumn air date.

Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver is said to be the latest famous face to be tapped to join the cast.

A source told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "After the huge success of the debut series last year, execs really are shooting for the stars in terms of the calibre of people they’re targeting.

"Jamie would be a brilliant choice. He’s well liked by the public, with a natural charm that could bamboozle contestants."

Producers are said to be undecided which side of the game Jamie would be best suited for.

The insider added: “They wouldn’t be sure if he was a Faithful, or really a Traitor hiding behind his nice guy persona - much like the 2025 winner, Alan Carr. "Either way, the production team are already joking about what Jamie might make of the catering supplied to the contestants at Ardross Castle."=
