King Charles and Queen Camilla are "huge fans" of The Apprentice.

Show advisor Baroness Karren Brady, 56, revealed they request previews of the programme to see the candidates battle it out in a series of tasks for one to ultimately secure tycoon Lord Sugar's £250,000 investment into their business plan, and his mentorship.

During a Q+A session, hosted by journalist Emma Cox, for the BBC show's series 20 launch at London's Soho Hotel on January 13, Baroness Brady shared: "I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, and if I'm not, I'm going to get shot, but I'm going to say it anyway.

"Two huge fans of the show are His Majesty the King and the Queen. And they ask [Lord Sugar] if they can have previews of the show. They like to watch it."

The vice-chairman of West Ham United F.C. suggested The Apprentice could capitalise on the King Charles, 77, and 78 year old Queen Camilla's love for the show by doing a task set in one of their palaces.

Baroness Brady said: "I think it would be great to host one of the tasks at a royal palace.

"So maybe not a task about the royals, but Buckingham Palace would be a great place to set a task."

The Apprentice boss Lord Sugar, 78, could not help but joke about Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, 41, when he pitched his idea for a royal task.

The business magnate quipped: "How about a renegotiation to bring Harry back in the fold?"

Lord Sugar referred to how Prince Harry has been estranged from his family since he settled in Montecito, California, with his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, 44, and their children, Prince Archie, six, and four-year-old Princess Lilibet, in July 2020.

Reacting to Lord Sugar's royal task suggestion, Baroness Brady jokingly told him: "Only you can do that!"

Series 20 of The Apprentice kicks off on Thursday (29.01.26) at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
