Rylan Clark’s Dating Naked UK has been renewed for a third season, after months of rumours that it was facing the axe.

The programme follows a group of singles as they jet out to a villa and go on a series of dates - all while completely nude - and regularly hit headlines when episodes from the first and second series aired.

The controversy surrounding the show led to speculation that it was going to be axed but, according to The Sun, Rylan has flown to Tenerife this week to start filming the third season.

A source told the newspaper: “There was suggestion this series was struggling but filming began this week and is already shaping up to be a corker.

“Rylan loves hosting it because it’s so much fun, but also because something about dating starkers brings out such a raw emotion from the cast. It’s not just another dating show.”

Rylan - who serves as a creative consultant on Dating Naked UK - previously reflected that part of the show’s appeal is that it's a “social experiment” where anything could have happened.

In August 2024, he told Grazia: “Things occur in this series that only occur because they’re all naked. It’s a social experiment as much as it’s a dating show.

"We didn’t know what was going to happen when we put however many naked people in a house to date. It could have been an orgy from the first day!"

The X Factor 2012 star mused that everyone quickly “became so comfortable” with being starkers.

Rylan said: "Something just happened, and I think it’s the fact they were all naked and all different that made them feel confident in that group.

"They just became so comfortable with each other because they’re all in the same boat."

The BBC Radio 2 presenter added that while Dating Naked UK is a show he wouldn’t want to take part in himself, he did tell Bella Magazine in August 2025 that he’d be open to hosting in the buff.

He laughed: “If they wanted me to host it naked... I did suggest that actually, but they said no!"
