Linda Robson prefers acting to being a panellist on Loose Women.

Before she joined the ITV lunchtime talk show as a regular in June 2012, the 67-year-old star played many characters on stage and screen - with her most famous role being Tracey Stubbs in the BBC-then-ITV sitcom, Birds of a Feather.

And since becoming a panellist Loose Women, Linda thinks people now regard her as just a celebrity as opposed to an actress.

Asked if she prefers acting or being on Loose Women, Linda told the new issue of Bella magazine: "I prefer acting, really. I think once I started doing Loose Women, you become more like a celebrity than an actor."

Earlier this year, Linda and her Birds of a Feather co-star Lesley Joseph, 80, reunited to film a special episode of Channel 5’s murder mystery series, The Good Ship Murder, which will air in 2026.

And Linda loved working with Lesley again - the first time since ITV axed Birds of a Feather back in December 2020.

Linda said: "I did some acting this year with Lesley, we did The Good Ship Murder, which was filmed in Malta. I had to kill her. I enjoyed that because I said, 'I've waited 30 years to strangle you!'

"That was good fun."

Elsewhere, Linda let slip that she and Lesley have had "some discussions" about doing a comedy show together.

In September, Linda told Woman magazine: "Hopefully Lesley and I will do something together.

"I think we'd like to do another comedy, which would be really fun. We've had some discussions, so watch this space."

The duo became household names alongside their dear friend Pauline Quirke, 66, in Birds of a Feather - which followed two sisters, Tracey and Sharon Theodopolopodous (Pauline), who move in together next door to Dorien (Lesley) after their spouses are arrested for armed robbery.

Linda and Lesley's new show will not feature Pauline, as her husband Steve Sheen publicly announced in January her retirement from acting after a dementia diagnosis.

Pauline stepped away from "all commercial and professional duties" after being diagnosed with the degenerative condition - which causes a decline in thinking, memory, and reasoning skills - in 2021.
