ITV bosses won't be making cuts to the Loose Women cast.

The on-air team have been told they are safe from the channel's cull, which is seeing the broadcaster altering its daytime output with production teams getting streamlined with This Morning, while Loose Women will get a part-time reduced run of 30 weeks a year in 2026.

However, an insider told The Sun newspaper's TVBiz column: "It’s been a tense time since the changes were announced in May and everyone has felt on edge, like they’re singing for their supper. So it’s a relief that everyone will broadly remain.

“It’s true there will be less shifts to go around but there is no intention for the cast to lose any faces.

“There will be job cuts across the daytime teams but it will be through merging production teams, not touching talent, in regards to Loose Women.”

Meanwhile, an ITV spokesperson has promised a "familiar lineup" despite the changes behind the scenes.

They said: "We always said we valued the Loose Women and that we wouldn’t be changing the panel, so viewers can look forward to seeing the familiar line up in the New Year."

Last week, Linda Robson admitted she was unsure about her position on the programme.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "The show is hopefully back in January, if we’ve still got jobs.

“We have to wait and find out. My first job was in a fish-and-chip shop so I might have to go back there!”

In May, the broadcaster announced that over 220 jobs would be axed as part of its mission to save money, which will also see Good Morning Britain's timeslot extended, while Lorraine is being cut to half an hour.

Meanwhile, Loose Women panellist Gloria Hunniford previously insisted she and her co-panellists would be keeping their jobs despite the cuts.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz in October: "The girls are staying. Unfortunately, it’s the background teams that are being affected. But we’re not affected."

She insisted she wasn't "losing any particular sleepless nights", despite the slashed schedule.

She added: "The number of programmes per year has been reduced, but we’re lucky that we have other work to do as well.

"Not losing any particular sleepless nights, but we have it all lined up. It’ll work."
