Strictly Come Dancing professional Nadiya Bychkova DJd with a lobster at the exclusive opening of Leicester Square Market Place Food Hall in London on Thursday night (10.12.25).

The 36-year-old Ukrainian ballroom and Latin dancer - who was partnered with former rugby player Chris Robshaw on this year's Strictly - took over the decks to drop some filthy bangers and dirty mash-ups and had some fun with her crustacean companion.

Drawing on the glitz of her glitterball quests on the BBC ballroom show, Nadiya kept the crowd buzzing while dishes sizzled across the kitchens of Market Place Food Hall, London’s newest dining destination, which spans five floors and 24,000 square feet.

While chefs were busy cooking pad Thai, pulled duck wraps, buttermilk chicken sandwiches, Yorkshire burritos, Mexican burritos and other international street food, Nadiya was busy cooking tunes behind the turntables, blending house and club favourites that had guests dancing between stalls.

The launch had a star-studded guestlist which included Fleur East, Denise Van Outen, Love Island’s Georgia Harrison, Made in Chelsea’s Sam Vanderpump and Alex Yaxley, as well as music legend Norman Jay - who dropped by with his own beats.

Guests explored 15 award winning food vendors offering global flavours, from Molo’s lobster rolls and Mister Lasagna’s baked pasta creations to Bread Ahead’s crème brûlée doughnuts, all washed down with signature cocktails and swirly soft-serve from Soft Serve Society.

Chefs may have been dishing out food but Nadiya’s music was the real main course, transforming the food hall into a dance extravaganza.

Market Place Food Hall has already found success in St Paul’s, Vauxhall, Peckham and Harrow, but its Leicester Square opening positions it as the West End’s newest hotspot for street food, cocktails, live music, comedy and night life.

Nadiya's quest for the Strictly Come Dancing glitterball trophy with Chris, 39, ended in week four when their salsa to Ricky Martin's Maria saw them leave in the dance-off.

Nadiya has so far competed on Strictly Come Dancing seven times but is yet to get her hands on the famous glitterball trophy.

The closest she has come so far is fifth place with newsreader-and-presenter Dan Walker in 2021.
