The Celebrity Apprentice's Kadeena Cox says show 'inspired' her to 'open bakery'
Kadeena Cox is one of 11 stars taking part in The Celebrity Apprentice, which airs in two parts on BBC One and iPlayer later in December.
Kadeena Cox wants to launch her own bakery following her stint on BBC's The Celebrity Apprentice.
The Paralympic legend and 11 other stars were split into two teams and sent to Lapland, Finland - the home of Santa - and put through their paces to make their own gingerbread biscuits, in a bid for one of the sweet treats to land on show boss Lord Alan Sugar's good list.
Kadeena, 34, loved creating Jolly McTrouble - a Santa-shaped biscuit consisting of butter toffee, vanilla and Christmas pudding flavoured festive icing - with her teammates, Jake Wood, 53, Rob Rinder, 47, Eddie Kadi, 42, Charlie Hedges, 39, and 37 year old AJ Odudu.
And the "intense" process has motivated Kadeena to do more baking in the future.
The Paralympic gold medalist said: "I’m not going to lie, it’s inspired me to think about opening my own bakery and selling stuff online. I might get my baking hat on next year!"
Opposite team one is Sarah Hadland, 54, Shazia Mirza, 50, Angela Scanlon, 41, JB Gill, 39, Matt Morsia, 39, and Tom Skinner, 34, who created Gary the Penguin - a penguin-shaped biscuit that combines gingerbread with a blend of lemon, bubble-gum and white pepper.
After they faced the brutal task of pitching to retailers, to secure those all-important sales, the two teams' products were scrutinised in the boardroom by Lord Sugar, 78, and his aides, Mike Soutar, 58, and 56 year old Baroness Karren Brady.
And Kadeena was desperate for Lord Sugar to tear into her so she could get the "full Apprentice experience".
Asked what it was like coming face-to-face with the business magnate, Kadeena said: "It was kind of nerve-racking. I was super nervous, but actually, he was nice, a lot nicer than I expected.
"I really wanted to get fired, I wanted him to shout at me and point his finger, just for the full Apprentice experience!"
The celebrities' creations are available to buy in retailers, including Tesco, Amazon Online and Wenzel's The Bakers, and 10 per cent of the sale price goes to BBC Children in Need.
And Kadeena - who was "predominantly excited" to do The Celebrity Apprentice because of the charity - is delighted that the public can enjoy a celebrity creation whilst raising money for a good cause.
She said: "I’m so happy that our product is going to help raise money for such an awesome cause!
"Then, I’m relieved that Eddie’s and my first decoration attempt isn’t the one being sold off the shelves because that was horrendous. The one on the shelves, I think (and hope) people will enjoy."
