Angelina Jolie – funeral director
Angelina once considered a career far removed from Hollywood glamour.
After being impacted by how her grandfather’s funeral was done aged 14, the Maleficent star took mail-order classes to become a funeral director.
Angelina told 60 Minutes: "How somebody passes and how family deals with this passing and what death is should be addressed in a different way.
"If this whole acting thing didn't work out, that was going to be my path."
Sofia Vergara – dentist
Before becoming a global TV star, Sofia studied dentistry for two years.
The Modern Family alum explained on The Harry Connick Jr. Show: "I wanted to be a doctor, but being a doctor takes so much time, years of studying. It's difficult.
"So the next best thing for me at that time was to be a dentist. So I went to dentist school, but I didn't finish."
Ed Sheeran – supermarket worker
Global music success was not always guaranteed for Ed.
Speaking on the Today show, the Castle on the Hill himaker admitted: "Possibly working at a supermarket because I never finished school.
"I never got my grades - I wouldn't have gotten into university… ‘cause I never even finished the higher exams."
Margot Robbie – trapeze artist
Margot had a surprisingly daring backup plan.
The Wuthering Heights cast member told The Independent: "I'd like to think I'd be a trapeze artist."
Jennifer Lawrence – interior designer
Before Hollywood fame, Jennifer imagined a quieter creative career.
The Die, my Love actress told The Hollywood Reporter: "I thought for a while maybe I could be an interior designer - that was the only job I knew about because my mom was friends with an interior designer."
