First diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2015, she entered remission in 2017 before the disease aggressively returned as stage four metastatic cancer in 2019. In January 2023, a routine CT scan shockingly revealed the cancer had spread to her brain, requiring immediate radiation therapy and a delicate neurosurgery to excise a brain metastasis. Though she fought valiantly to raise global cancer awareness, the iconic actress tragically passed away at home on July 13, 2024, at 53 years old.

In a twist of cruel irony, the actress famous for playing world-class neonatal surgeon Dr. Addison Montgomery on Grey's Anatomy found herself on the operating table. Walsh began experiencing extreme physical exhaustion, cognitive issues, and a noticeable tilt to her right side while driving in the winter of 2015. After pushing past a dismissive neurologist to secure an MRI scan, doctors discovered a massive, benign meningioma tumor in her left frontal lobe that was larger than a lemon. Johnny Ruffo
The charismatic Home and Away actor and X Factor Australia finalist won the hearts of millions with his remarkably upbeat attitude during an extensively publicised, multi-year cancer battle. Originally rushed into emergency surgery in August 2017 after presenting at the hospital with a severe migraine, doctors successfully removed a seven-centimeter tumor. Ruffo went into remission in 2019, but tragically announced in November 2020 that the aggressive cancer had returned. He received a terminal diagnosis in August 2022 and passed away on November 10, 2023, at just 35 years old.

Bottoms was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, a highly virulent form of brain cancer, in early 2008. He fought the fast-moving disease privately at his home in Los Angeles for several months before passing away on December 16, 2008, at just 53 years old.
