Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon and pro footballer Ryan Ledson are engaged after he popped the question on her 30th birthday weekend.
Coronation Street star Lucy Fallon is engaged.
The 30-year-old actress took to social media to show off her engagement ring after her now-fiancé Ryan Ledson popped the question on her birthday weekend.
Lucy - who is best known for playing Corrie's Bethany Platt - wrote on Instagram: "ending the birthday weekend with my best friend as a fiancé!!!! i can’t wait to marry you @ryanledson8 (sic)"
Following the news, Lucy was inundated with congratulatory messages from her Corrie stars past and present.
Georgia Taylor wrote: "Omg darling!!!! Over the moon for you both (sic)"
Natalie Anderson commented: "Oh beautiful news!! Congratulations!!! (sic)"
Jacob Roberts wrote: "Congratulations to you both"
Cobbles stalwart Andy Whyment admitted he was "made up" for the pair.
He posted: "That’s amazing news absolutely made up for you both (sic)"
Samia Longchambon wrote: "Massive congratulations you gorgeous pair! (sic)"
Former Corrie star Katie McGlynn commented: "Aw Congratulations!! (sic)"
Emmerdale actor Danny Miller also admitted he was "so happy" for Lucy and Ryan, and their two children.
He wrote: "Congratulations mate!! So happy for you both and the kids"
The soap star has a son, Sonny, two, and a 10-month-old daughter, Nancy, with professional footballer Ryan, who plays for Huddersfield Town.
Lucy suffered a miscarriage before welcoming her first child, and she previously admitted the heartbreak strengthened her relationship with Ryan.
The actress told OK! magazine: "That changed things and it made us realise that was definitely what we wanted.
"Situations like that can really test your relationship and when you go through something that’s really horrible you see how the other person deals with stuff and how they support you and how you support them.
"It just made us closer and stronger."
