Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon teases Bethany Platt's antics will 'come back to haunt her'
Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon has dropped a huge hint that her character Bethany Platt's recent one-night stand with Kit Green will "come back to haunt her" in coming scenes.
Lucy Fallon has revealed her Coronation Street character's latest antics will "come back to haunt her".
Bethany Platt recently had a one-night stand with her mum Sarah Platt's (Tina O'Brien) ex Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), and Lucy has hinted she won't stay quiet about her secret for long.
Speaking to Digital Spy at this year's Inside Soap Awards in Manchester, she said: "I think this is definitely going to come back to haunt her.
"I don't think that she's going to get away with this for very long.
"She's not the kind of person who's just going to sit in her guilt.
"[She'll] need to tell her mum what has happened. She's been a bit of a naughty girl."
Lucy has hinted Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) could be the character who might spill the beans to Sarah - who is currently in prison after she was arrested and charged with the murder of Theo Silverton - about Bethany and Kit's night of passion.
She said: "I think that's definitely a problem that Jodie knows because Jodie, if anyone, is going to be the one at the moment who is likely to give that information away.
"Kit still wants to be with Sarah, I think, in the long run, and he doesn't want to be with Bethany.
"Bethany doesn't want to be with Kit, and I feel like Jodie is going to be the one that could blow all of this up in the air."
While Bethany doesn't want to be with Kit long term, she is still keen to support him following his breast cancer diagnosis.
Lucy added: "Bethany's nature is to be supportive, and she wants to help him.
"Even before the fact that they slept together, I think she knew something was going on. So it's Bethany's nature to kind of care for somebody, and I think that she will definitely want to be there for him, even though all this has already happened."
Lucy recently admitted Bethany was feeling "incredibly guilty" about sleeping with Kit.
She said: "I think it was definitely a major mistake and she is feeling incredibly guilty."
