Martin Kemp wants to win I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! just so he can say he's beaten his son.
The Spandau Ballet bassist is taking part in this year's show, six years after presenter Roman Kemp came in third place and the 64-year-old musician admitted if he is crowned King of the Jungle, he'll take great pleasure in rubbing it in his offspring's face.
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “He’ll never live it down. I might get a poster made or something like that."
But Roman has been very supportive of his dad's decision to take part in the show.
Martin added: “He was the first person I asked. I said to him, ‘They’ve asked me to do this, what do you think?’
“He said, ‘You will have the time of your life’.
“He said to me it’s the best thing that he ever did, and he also said, ‘Me thinking about you going in is making me jealous’.”
However, the former EastEnders actor joked Roman will be campaigning for him to do as many Bushtucker Trials as possible.
He said: “I don’t think it’s the public that are going to target me, I think Roman is going to bring all his followers to target me.”
The Gold hitmaker - who also has daughter Harleymoon, 36, with wife Shirlie Holliman - joked he'll be featuring in the show's famous shower scenes.
He quipped: “Hopefully at one point I will get a shower, but I’m not sure I’m going to do a Myleene Klass!
“I’m not going to avoid the shower, let’s put it that way.”
Martin pledged to be authentic on the programme.
He said: “What I really don’t want to do is go in there with this false personality that I’m not.
“I’ve never done that in my life and I won’t be doing it over the next month.”
Last month, Martin had a "lucky escape" when he was taken to hospital following a chainsaw accident but he is totally fine now.
He said: “I was taking the scabbard off. It was electric and it came to life.
“I went to hospital, but it was really for an injection and to make sure everything was all right. They wrapped it up and it was fine.
“It was about three weeks ago now. It’s all healed up.
“It’s pretty amazing how skin heals like that.
“It was my own fault. But when you do something like that, you learn a lesson.
“It was one that I got away with. I’ve still got my finger, so it’s all good.”
