Martin Kemp has become the latest star to leave I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
The Spandau Ballet musician, 64, was the sixth celebrity to exit the jungle in Thursday's (04.12.25) episode of the ITV reality show, just hours after he had taken part in his first Bushtucker Trial alongside fellow campmate Tom Read Wilson.
Martin - who was greeted at the I'm A Celebrity bridge by his wife Shirlie Kemp upon his exit - told hosts Ant and Dec after leaving the Australian jungle: "I have dreamt about this moment.
"It's just a weird trip. I loved just sitting around and talking with the others. I said it a few times on there, I'm not one for making new friends and this is the first time I've done it in years and I absolutely loved it.
"Coming out now, I feel like I've done everything I wanted to do, experienced it and I can walk out with some brilliant anecdotes.
"I wasn't one of those guys that was dancing and singing and stuff, I just brought a calm energy."
Martin's son Roman, who finished third when he competed on the show in 2019, poked fun at his dad's failure to get as far as him on social media.
The 32-year-old star posted on X: "Oh noooo."
He sweetly added: "Love him and love that some of you have seen a snapshot of the man I aspire to be! We've had some great laughs on here. Tom for the win #I'mACelebrity."
Martin had been dubbed the "jungle ghost" by some viewers for a perceived lack of involvement in the series but his campmate Vogue Williams - who was voted out earlier this week - claimed that he was exempt from some of the Bushtucker Trials.
The 40-year-old model and presenter told her followers in an Instagram Q+A: "Martin did want to do some trials, but Martin was exempt from some.
"And I think everybody wanted to do the trials, which is probably unusual for a year."
Vogue continued: "I think that because Martin is a bit quieter he was kinda happy to let everybody else go ahead.
"Martin's sound, he's such a nice guy. He's really, really lovely."
