Joanna Page wants to "train" as a "sex therapist".

The 48-year-old actress said it has been something that she has wanted to do for "years".

Joanna told the new issue of Woman magazine: "I'd like to train as a sex therapist, it's something I've wanted to do for years."

As well as her future "sex therapist" job hope, the Gavin and Stacey star - who has daughters Eva, 12, and Boe, four, and sons Kit, 10, and Noah, nine, with her husband, 49-year-old actor James Thornton - would love to move to the countryside with her family.

Joanna added: "Eventually, I'd like to move to the countryside, get more animals and restart my greenhouse and vegetable patches."

But taking time out for herself trumps training as a "sex therapist" and moving house.

Joanna said: "On top of that, I want to get back into yoga and generally make more time for myself."

Elsewhere in her interview with the magazine, the star - who turns 50 in March 2027 - thinks ageing is a "blessing".

Joanna - who is "excited" about entering her 50s - explained: "I want to do '50 things at 50' - new experiences to celebrate the milestone.

"I don't worry about ageing, I think it's a blessing.

"After losing loved ones and seeing others get ill, I feel grateful to be here, healthy, and with four children.

"And I'll always be younger than James, who's 50 this year!"

Joanna loathes thinking about how "little time" people have with their loved ones.

She said: "The worst [thing about ageing] is how time flies.

"I hate thinking about how little time we have with the ones we love.

"The best thing [about ageing] is confidence and peace, and you care less what people think, feel more settled, and can enjoy quiet moments."

And Joanna - who has been acting professionally since 1999 - has no plans of fully retiring.

The Love Actually actress - who has just released her new memoir Lush! - explained: "Yes, [retiring] from acting eventually, but I'd keep writing.

"I'd love to live in a country cottage with animals and just write.

"But in this business, opportunities can come out of nowhere, even in your 80s!

"So I'd stay open to the unexpected."
