Stacey Solomon 'stepped in' to fill in for sick Simon Cowell at Britain's Got Talent auditions
As Simon Cowell reportedly fell ill during the first round of auditions in Birmingham for Britain's Got Talent, it has been said that Stacey Solomon agreed to fill in for him at the last minute.

Stacey Solomon has reportedly agreed to fill in for Simon Cowell at Britain's Got Talent's auditions.
The 65-year-old music mogul is said to have fallen ill during the first round of auditions in Birmingham for the ITV variety show on Thursday (02.10.25), but as he is not fit enough to return to his judging duties on Friday (03.10.25), producers called in the 35-year-old TV personality - who shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009 - to temporarily step in alongside judges Amanda Holden, 54, KSI, 32, and 46 year old Alesha Dixon.
A TV insider told The Sun: "If she hadn't have stepped in, then organisers were facing doing the show with three judges OR potentially cancelling the Birmingham auditions, and they really did not want to do that.
"So many people were disappointed when yesterday's auditions were canceled they didn't want that to happen again, so Stacey was a great sport and stepped in.
"BGT are so grateful to her for agreeing at such short notice, and it adds an extra bit of excitement to proceedings too."
The insider added: "Simon felt unwell in the last 24 hours.
"Judges often miss the odd audition because they don’t feel great - Simon, for example, has long suffered with migraines - but it was decided, as this was the first audition of the series, it was best to postpone - so we could launch with everyone on the panel.
"He’s on the mend now - and hoping to be fighting fit for tomorrow.”
The announcement of Stacey's becoming a guest judge comes a day after one of the auditions was reportedly cancelled because of an illness.
But before the auditions kicked off, Britain's Got Talent's official X page shared a post still appealing for people to sign up to perform for the judges.
It read: "We're so back ... Who's joining us for the start of our #BGT Series 19 Auditions tomorrow!? And for any late-comers, there's still time to apply! Click the link and maybe we'll be seeing YOU on that stage."
However, the post sparked confusion from audience members, who claimed they had received emails saying that the audition had been cancelled.
One person said: "Err, I have just had an email to say the shows been postponed, so you will rearrange our tickets for another day?"
A second attendee asked: "Has this been cancelled? Had an email now to say its been cancelled, true?"
And a third person claimed: "No one is answering the phones."
However, a Britain's Got Talent spokesperson said - as quoted by The Mirror: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, today's filming of Britain’s Got Talent has been postponed."
