Kacey Musgraves delivered a cheeky comeback after a fan voiced their displeasure about the anatomically correct disco balls featured on her Middle of Nowhere Tour.
Kacey Musgraves gave a cheeky comeback to a fan who took issue with her racy stage props.
The 38-year-old country star began her Middle of Nowhere Tour in Chicago on August 21 with two huge, sparkly disco balls that are anatomically correct.
And one fan had to declare how unimpressed they were with the show additions in the comments section of an Instagram carousel Kacey shared from the tour, declaring: "I can’t get behind the large testicles I’m sorry. (sic)"
The Merry Go Round hitmaker quipped: "Well, maybe you can get in front of them."
During her performance of Rhinestoned, Kacey rides around on the enormous glittering props.
Per People, she joked to the crowd: "This is what it looks like when no one tells me no."
The eight-time Grammy winner is having a ball with her stage additions - even if it leaves some fans with displeasure.
At one show where Kacey's grandmother, affectionately known as Nana, was in the audience, the singer joked: "It takes a lot of balls to get up here and do what I do every night. It takes two gigantic, anatomically correct sparkly balls.
"I’ve actually got my Nana in the house tonight, and she always told me, 'Honey, if you’re gonna do something, do it big, do it sparkly.'
"Nana, is this what you had in mind?"
Nana is not exactly a fan of Kacey's risque material, including the more sexually suggestive track Dry Spell, which is off the artist's latest album, Middle of Nowhere.
Kacey is quoted by People as saying: "I’ve never talked about self-pleasure before. So that’s a first for me: 'Sitting on the washing machine.' It’s not my grandma’s favourite line, but it’s mine, I guess."
The Mexico Honey performer learnt Nana had been rushed to hospital after experiencing an "extreme high blood pressure incident" while she was filming the saucy Dry Spell music video, which is packed with sexual imagery and opens with Kacey holding an eggplant.
After she received a text from her dad about Nana's health scare, the entertainer broke down in tears on the phone and wondered if her grandmother would ever see the finished video.
Kacey said: "I don’t know if she’ll laugh. Actually, in the middle of filming the video, I got a text from my dad that Nana had to be rushed to the hospital: She had a really scary, extreme high blood pressure incident.
"So I had to leave, and I was on the call, crying, like, 'If Nana lives, she’s gonna hate this video!'"
