Dancing On Ice 'rested' - with no plans to return
ITV have confirmed 'Dancing On Ice' is being "rested" next year and there are currently no plans to bring back the show.

'Dancing On Ice' is being "rested".
The celebrity skating contest will not be returning to screens next year, and there are currently "no plans" to bring it back in future either, ITV have confirmed following weeks of speculation amid falling ratings for the most recent series.
A spokesperson confirmed to The Sun online: "Following another successful series earlier this year, 'Dancing On Ice' will be rested in 2026 with no current plans for another series.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who have worked on the show since 2006, and over the previous 17 series, for all of their hard work both on and off the ice."
The confirmation comes weeks after insiders admitted the show - which was won by Sam Aston earlier this month - was set to be axed
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The staffers on 'Dancing on Ice' are saying the show is over and claim they’ve been told as much.
"It’s a mainstay of ITV’s schedule and viewing figures are remarkably less than they were but they still had almost three million watch the launch show.
"There’s no denying, though, that the format has become tired and they’re not getting the big names they once did."
Meanwhile, Christopher Dean had previously admitted he and skating partner Jayne Torvill would no longer be performing on the show "if" it was to continue.
The 'Dancing on Ice' judge - who won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics - also admitted that 50 years of performing has taken a toll "on the body".
He said: "If 'Dancing on Ice' continues, we will just come back as judges."
'Dancing on Ice' - which was co-hosted by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern, with the latter taking over from Philip Schofield in 2024 - debuted on ITV back in 2006.
It ran for eight series until 2014, with the final series being an all-stars version featuring past celebrity contestants, before being rested by ITV.
The show then returned to screens in 2018.
