Holly Willoughby is planning "something radical" to relaunch her TV career.

The 44-year-old presenter quit ITV's This Morning in 2023, but has since seen Celebrity Bear Hunt get cancelled by Netflix after just one season, while long-running reality competition Dancing On Ice has also been scrapped.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: "The past two years have seen Holly’s career apparently on pause — and she knows she has to do something radical now.

“There’s a potential vicious circle setting in, where the longer it goes before she gets a job, the less employable she seems, which makes it harder to bag the next job.

“There is plenty of work out there and there are lots of projects she’d be ideal for, but there’s a sense of disconnect between her and the TV industry right now."

It's said Holly is keen to explore "new ways of launching" the next stage of her career.

The source added: “What she wants is to look at new ways of launching this next chapter of her career, not just in traditional media like TV, or in the formats we’re used to seeing her work on, like daytime TV and contest shows.”

Holly had been with talent agency YMU until August 2020 before ending their 13-year partnership, during which times she appear on the likes of I'm A Celebrity, Surprise Surprise, The Games and more.

Now, it's reported she has been meeting with big name agents to find "an organisation or a middle man that can give her career the boost it really needs".

Another insider said: "Signing up a big representative would also be a vote of confidence in her as a presenter and sign that she’s still a force to be reckoned with.”

Meanwhile, Holly is said to be working with her husband Dan Baldwin's company Hungry Bear to develop "'multi-strand programme for digital platforms" amid a changing landscape in the TV industry.

A source close to the star told the Daily Mail online: "The television industry has changed significantly in recent years. It is nothing like it used to be so it feels like a good time for Holly to do something a little bit different.

"It's a new format, something completely new, modern and progressive. It's not a podcast. It's not something that anyone has done before.

"She'll be at the centre of things both in front of and behind the scenes. Holly is loving developing the format with a small team."
