Claudia Winkleman doesn't think 'The Traitors' should launch a children's spinoff.

The 53-year-old presenter - who is currently on screens hosting the third UK series of the tense show - insisted the BBC's game of bluff and deceit is probably better focused on adults rather than following in the footsteps of 'Taskmaster', 'MasterChef' and 'Great British Bake Off' with a junior version.

Asked if it was a possibility, she simply told Radio Times magazine: "It's a great show for grown-ups."

Although Claudia is staying tight lipped about the upcoming celebrity edition and which famous faces could take part, she revealed she hasn't warned off any of her famous friends.

She added: "I haven't vetoed anyone, but I think it would be hard if a great friend did it."

And the 'Strictly Come Dancing' host doesn't think she'd last in the castle if she was picked as a traitor.

Revealing her tactic, she quipped: "Say nothing. I would mess it up, though, within three minutes."

Claudia isn't so sure she'd perform much better on the other side, admitting she doesn't have a knack for spotting liars.

She added: "I think I'd prefer to be a faithful, but I genuinely have no idea if someone is lying to me.

"My 18-year-old told me she'd done all her homework for years."

Meanwhile, comedian Ed Gamble - who hosts spinoff podcast 'The Traitors: Uncloaked' - has revealed some filming secrets, noting that the contestants spend much longer at the roundtable than the show suggests.

He told the Metro: "Speaking to all of the players and people who’ve been in there before, it is how long they are at that roundtable for.

"We get a good edit of it; it’s tense, it’s exciting, it’s bang, bang, bang, plot point, plot point, plot point, but they are there for a long old time."

The 38-year-old comedian and 'Traitors' superfan noted how the players "wait to go in there for a long time, in silence".

He added: "They get to a point where they’re not gonna give any more stuff away; they just have to get in there and film what looks like a very tense situation... They really put themselves through it for that show, but it’s great telly!"
