The Traitors dominates 2026 National Reality TV Awards nominations
The Traitors franchise beat Love Island in having the most nominations at the 2026 National Reality TV Awards.
The Traitors franchise has overtaken Love Island in dominating this year's National Reality TV Awards (NRTAs) nominations.
The game of backstabbing, deceit, and betrayal bagged 19 nods - two more than the ITV2 dating show at last year's bash - and is hoping to win big at the 15th anniversary edition of the annual ceremony, which takes place in London later this year.
Like 2025, Love Island has 17 chances of claiming prizes.
BBC's The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors are up for Best Reality Competition Show, and Best Social Experiment Show, with the latter programme also contesting for Best New Show.
Its US counterpart is hoping to be crowned Best International Reality Series.
The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors are up against Love Island, Strictly Come Dancing, I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, The Great British Bake Off, Race Across the World, and Britain's Got Talent, for the Best Competition Show gong.
Meanwhile, The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors' host Claudia Winkleman will fight it out against her ex-Strictly Come Dancing co-host Tess Daly, Love Island's Maya Jama, Love Is Blind UK's Emma Willis, and others for Best TV Presenter.
Rachel Duffy, Stephen Libby, and Alan Carr, who successfully bluffed their way to victory on The Traitors series four, and The Celebrity Traitors season one, respectively, hope to beat the likes of Love Island series 12 winners Toni Laites, and Cach Mercer, and I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! 2025 King of the Jungle Angrygine in the Reality Personality of the Year category.
Stephen, Alan and Cach are also up for Best Male Personality, alongside The Traitors series four Faithful Alexander Dragonetti, I'm A Celebrity...South Africa 2026 champion Adam Thomas, Gladiators hunk Matt Morsia, and Made in Chelsea's Sam Prince.
The Traitors series two star Diane Carson is facing the likes of Toni, The Apprentice 2026 winner Karishma Vijay, and I'm A Celebrity...South Africa 2026's Scarlett Moffatt in the Best Female Personality line-up.
The Celebrity Traitors' Alan and Faithful Tom Daley join I'm A Celebrity...South Africa 2026 stars Adam and Sinitta, Strictly Come Dancing 2025 winner Karen Carney, Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 champion Roman Kemp, and others, in the Celebrity Personality of the Year competition.
Studio Lambert, who are behind The Traitors, The Celebrity Traitors, and other programmes are up for Best Production Company.
In a special 15th Anniversary tribute, the NRTAs will honour 15 global figures who have made outstanding contributions to reality television worldwide, from pioneering presenters and landmark formats to cultural icons who redefined the genre.
These include Sharon Osbourne and The Osbourne Family, Katie Price, Davina McCall, Tiffany “New York” Pollard, Simon Cowell, Tyra Banks, and Gordon Ramsay.
