Kareena Kapoor Khan has been hailed a "dream" to work with by her 'Buckingham Murders' director Hansal Mehta.
Kareena Kapoor Khan has been hailed a "dream" to work with.
The 43-year-old actress plays grieving detective Jasmeet Bhamra in 'The Buckingham Murders' and director Hansal Mehta couldn't be happier with his leading lady or her performance.
He told Times Now News: “Kareena was a dream to work with.
“Easy, professional and very selflessly committed to the film and her character.
“Given the response it seems we’ve done well together.
“This is a special performance, something to be proud of.”
The director relished the “challenge” of making a murder mystery but insisted the film is something more than just a simple Whodunnit.
He said: “I don’t do anything unless I feel challenged.
“I must feel like I’m trying something new and I must feel nervous about how it’s all going to come together.
“That keeps me going.
“I love murder mysteries but this goes beyond that.
“It is also a very personal film about grief, loss, trauma and closure.
“It deals with community; a microcosm of the polarised times we live in.”
Hansal is “very proud” of the finished movie.
He said: “I am very proud of ‘The Buckingham Murders’. It is unlike anything I’ve done before.
“It has a distinct mood, style and voice.
“It is a murder mystery that goes beyond the mystery and explores grief, trauma and closure.
“I’m also proud that the film has an authentic feel to it.
“It has a very diverse cast and crew, all very talented and accomplished professionals.”
