Carmen Electra has been reminiscing about her time performing with The Pussycat Dolls.

The 50-year-old actress has taken to social media to share some throwback steamy snaps of herself performing with the dance troupe.

Carmen - who was the group's lead dancer for many of their shows - turned to Instagram to share some shots of herself in racy lingerie, as she performed with the group in the early 2000s.

The Pussycat Dolls was still a burlesque act at the time, and Carmen - who is seen sporting a revealing black bra and a suspender belt - captioned the snaps: "dolls [heart emoji] (sic)"

In another post, she captioned the image: "caught in the act (sic)"

The Pussycat Dolls were formed as a burlesque troupe in 1995. But the group was turned into a musical franchise in the early 2000s, and they achieved significant chart success with singles such as 'Don't Cha', 'Stickwitu' and 'Buttons'.

The Pussycat Dolls actually became one of the best-selling girl groups of all time, and Nicole Scherzinger, the lead singer, previously claimed that she was the perfect candidate to lead them to chart success.

Nicole, 44 - who also performed in a girl group called Eden's Crush - explained: "We had quite a machine behind it, so things happened very focused and very fast.

"They had their perfect candidate right here, because I am a workhorse. I just rolled up my sleeves, got in the studio and turned out these records. Before we were done, we had hits coming out."

What's more, Nicole believes she played a bigger part in the group's success than her bandmates.

She said: "I pretty much executive-produced those records. That music felt like my music."
