The fashion show, hosted by Emma Willis, will not be returning for another season, after it failed to attract a sizeable audience.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "The overall idea was a worthy one which tapped into the hunger for fashions, sustainability as well as anything that felt like some kind of life hack.
"But the show didn’t quite gain the audience it needed to justify getting another series, even though there were hopes it might continue for years to come."
Fashion shows, like ReStyle, are now facing stiff competition from influencers and online shows.
The insider explained: "Fashion shows now have to vie with competition from influencers and online shows, many of which also tap into the fashion and beauty market."
Earlier this year, meanwhile, Emma was announced as the new co-host of Strictly Come Dancing, alongside comedian Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe.
Kate Phillips, the BBC’s Chief Content Officer, voiced her support for Emma, Johannes and Josh - but admitted it wasn't easy to find replacements for Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
She said in a statement: "Emma, Johannes and Josh’s chemistry is undeniable.
"There’s been so much speculation and hype, so I’m relieved we can share the news with the public at last! I’d like to thank all the brilliant people we saw before making this tough decision. But the most beloved ballroom in the UK always leads the way, and in a Strictly first we have chosen three outstanding hosts to take up the mantle.
"Along with our amazing Strictly team, who are busy planning fabulous and unforgettable treats for this new series, I know this terrific trio can’t wait to join our judges and pros to bring us must-see TV on the BBC this autumn."
Sarah James, Strictly Come Dancing Executive Producer for BBC Studios, is similarly convinced that they've chosen the perfect trio for the role.
She said: "We are absolutely thrilled to finally share this wonderful news. The combination of Emma, Josh, and Jojo was unexpected, but their magic was undeniable the moment they came together."
